Dr. Jennifer Dungan

Dr. Jennifer Dungan grew up in Machesney Park, Illinois and attended Harlem High School. She received her undergraduate degree from Augustana College before pursuing her Doctorate of Optometry at Illinois College of Optometry. She spent five years in the suburbs before returning to the Rockford area where she expanded her experience within ophthalmology and optometry offices. She feels so grateful to be able to serve the community where she grew up with the best care she can offer.

She practices full scope optometric care and enjoys all areas from routine vision care including contact lens fits to specialized contacts, ocular disease, emergencies, dry eye, glaucoma, and macular degeneration management, but holds a special place in her heart for pediatrics. She loves to watch all of her patients’ lives transform with clearer vision at every age, but it is especially meaningful when it is a child. 

Dr. Dungan is married and has two children who keep her very busy outside of the office. She is often seen in the community running between scout activities, baseball games, music lessons, and church activities. She is also a member of Chamber of Commerce.
